Abstract

The basic computer network subject is one of the subjects that must be mastered by SMK students, especially those majoring in Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ) and Multimedia. Explaining material about basic computer networks requires interesting learning media so that students can learn easily. The purpose of this research is to develop an android- based multiplayer online multiplayer educational game for basic network-based learning for class X students majoring in multimedia and to find out the feasibility of using 3D android- based multiplayer online educational games as a basic network learning medium for class X Multimedia students. This type of research uses Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall development model. The Borg and Gall model is useful to produce a good quality and effective product with 7 stages, namely research and data collection, planning, product draft development, initial field testing, revision, small-scale field testing, dissemination, and implementation. The results of the initial field test were the material test and the media test. The material test with 1 teacher at SMK Negeri 2 Pati was carried out by testing the material in the game and the results obtained were 82% which was categorized as very good, then for the media test it was carried out with 2 lecturers tested by trying online multiplayer educational games and the results were 92% lecturer categorized very well, lecturer 2 77% categorized well. The results of the small-scale field test through trials on 29 students at SMK Negeri 2 Pati tested it using students using online multiplayer educational games which were shared via Google Drive and then 29 students will have 6 people who make rooms in the game. Then the game can be played by students. The average result on the student questionnaire is 75% which is categorized as good on the System Usability Scale (SUS).
