Abstract

This study aims to describe the impact of rising soybean prices, the strategy used by tempe traders in dealing with rising soybean prices in the Minulyo market. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research with a case study design. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data in this study uses source triangulation and data triangulation. The results of research on the impact and strategy of tempe traders on soybean price increases in the Minulyo market, Kab. Pacitan showed that: a) The impact of continuous increase in soybean prices can result in a decrease in operating profit b) Strategies made by tempe producers to maintain their business through interviews. SWOT strategy selection for tempe traders in developing their business and to increase their income. In such difficult conditions, they carried out an innovation strategy by reducing labor and reducing the size of the tempe but at the same price. It can be concluded that the increase in soybean prices has an effect on the tempe business in the Minulyo market, Kab. Pacitan.
