Abstract

Moral education is education which contains moral values, both from religious teachings and from human culture. Islamic boarding schools as an educational institution also have a role in providing moral education for the nation’s children in accordance with Isalmic religious teachings. The objectives of this study are (1) to describe how the Rooihatul Jannah sukoharjo boarding school applies the value of moral education to its students. (2) to identify what factors are supporting and inhibiting the implementation of the application of the values of moral education. This type of research is field research and uses a descriptive qualitative approach by describing the data obtained. The author uses several techniques in data collection, namely observation, interviews, documentation and then analyzed. As for data analysis techniques by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. From the research that has been done, the author can conclude that in applying the moral education values of the Rooihatul Jannah boarding school not only through classroom learning, but also through habituation, the teacher as a role model, and advice. As for the supporting factors are discipline, mutabaah students, and directions from the caretaker of the boarding school. The inhibiting factors are the background and support of parents, and the environments
