Abstract

Domestication of women can be interpreted as an understanding where women are always associated with domestic affairs. In reporting that involves women, women are often presented in a state of dependence and limited roles in the patriarchal culture in society. Therefore, the public needs to understand the reality of the framing carried out by the Konde.co media as an alternative gender-based media. This study aims to explain the framing scheme used by Konde.co in compiling and narrating a fact so that the audience has the same opinion as the perspective held by Konde.co. This type of research is qualitative based on the theory of Robert N. Entman's framing analysis model. The data analyzed was obtained through news articles that had been determined and selected according to the criteria of news articles published by Konde.co regarding the resistance to women's domestication in the publication period March to August 2022. Media Konde.co as an alternative media shows partiality to women by emphasizing reporting from the perspective woman. Through its narrative, Konde.co tries to construct reality in fighting for women's rights to take a role in the public sphere and against all forms of discriminatory practices.
