Abstract

The aims of this research are: (1) To know the online learning process of accounting at SMA N 2 Ngawi. (2) Knowing the obstacles that occur in the online accounting learning process. (3) Knowing the effectiveness of online learning at SMA N 2 Ngawi. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study design. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The subjects of this study were principals, vice principals for curriculum, teachers, and students. The object of this research is online learning of accounting subjects at SMA N 2 Ngawi. Technical analysis of data by means of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data validity technique used is source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Online learning in the accounting class runs smoothly, although it is not yet perfect in the implementation process by analyzing the evaluation and improvement of several systems that have been carried out. (2) The obstacles faced in the online learning process in accounting subjects are a) internet connection that is less stable, b) lack of understanding of the material by students, c) lack of teacher-student interaction which makes students difficult. (3) The effectiveness of online learning for students who are deemed not effective enough if used full time because they see some obstacles that occur. This study provides the main recommendations, namely the need to develop an online learning system and professional teachers, as well as the need to improve the quality of human resources so that online learning is effectively used at all levels of education.
