Abstract

The decrease in organizational commitment is related to the increase in the workload received by employees and the existence of work conflicts that occur in the work environment. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between workload and work conflict with organizational commitment. The subjects of this research are employees of the garment division of PT. Dan Liris Sukoharjo as many as 100 people. The major hypothesis proposed is that there is a relationship between workload and work conflict with organizational commitment. The first minor hypothesis is that there is a negative relationship between workload and organizational commitment. The second minor hypothesis is that there is a negative relationship between work conflict and organizational commitment. This study uses quantitative methods. The Likert scale was chosen as the data collection method. The scale in this study includes the scale of organizational commitment, workload and work conflict. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression. The results obtained that there is a significant relationship between workload and work conflict with organizational commitment to employees with an F of 6.400 sig 0.002, and an effective contribution of 11.7%.Furthermore, there is a negative relationship between workload and organizational commitment to employees, and there is a negative relationship between work conflict and organizational commitment to employees. So that all research hypotheses are accepted. The company can provide tasks that are in accordance with the competencies and capacities of employees and emphasize employees to respect each other in order to create a harmonious work environment, so that employees are able to work together to achieve company goals.
