Abstract

COVID-19 is a problem that has hit various countries including Indonesia. Confirmed positive for Covid-19 can affect a person's psychological condition. Covid-19 survivors experience various kinds of social stigma. Social support is support from the immediate environment, both family and friends, to encourage and understand and help get out of a problem that has benefits for physical and mental health. This study aims to provide an overview of social support for survivors of COVID-19 in early-middle adulthood, as well as discover the impact that occurs when a survivor of COVID-19 receives this. This study uses a qualitative approach. Informants in this study were 4 survivors of COVID-19 with 3 delta variants and 1 omicron who underwent a quarantine period both at home and in the hospital. The data collection method was carried out by semi-structured interviews and the data analysis technique used was thematic. The results of this study are that early-middle adults receive support in the form of being physically present, giving advice, providing information about oxygen availability and hospitals. Social support obtained is emotional support, instrumental support, information support. The difference in the form of support obtained from early-middle adulthood is that a form of appreciation support is only found in middle-aged adults. It is hoped that the survivors of Covid-19 want to recover soon so they can continue their activities as usual. The impact after receiving social support from the people closest to them is feeling happy, feeling loved and the enthusiasm to recover soon.
