Abstract
Islam is a way of life that guarantees the happiness of life for its adherents both in this world and the hereafter. The main sources of Islamic teachings are the Qur'an and As-Sunnah. Al-Qur'an is the word of Allah SWT which was given to Prophet Muhammad SAW to be safe from the misery of this world and the hereafter. The purpose of this study was to determine the process of applying the tsaqifa method in alleviating the blind reading of the Qur'an among the women of the congregation at the At-Taqwa mosque, Griya Bulurejo Housing, Gondangrejo, Karanganyar and to find out the effectiveness of the staqifa method in alleviating blind reading of the Qur'an. to the women of the congregation of the At-Taqwa mosque, Griya Bulurejo Housing, Gondangrejo, Karanganyar. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method in which the results obtained come from observations of interviews, photo shoots, document analysis, field notes which are outlined in the form of a narrative. The researcher conducted interviews with the main resource person, Mrs. Asmiyati as the originator of the activity of alleviating blind reading of the Al-Quran in the congregation of the mothers of the At-Taqwa mosque. The successful application of the tsaqifa method in learning the Qur'an in the congregation of the At-Taqwa mosque in Griya Bulurejo housing makes this method effective when used for alleviating blindness in the Qur'an in a short time provided that the participants are adults who can read Latin letters, At least he's not blind. Mrs. Asmiyati, S, Ag managed to teach reading the Qur'an to the women of the congregation at the At-Taqwa mosque, Griya Bulurejo Housing, Gondangrejo, Karanganyar in just five meetings. However, even though participants have been declared able to read the Qur'an, they must continue to learn to read the Qur'an to recognize makhorijul letters and tajwid, because learning tsaqifa is only limited to learning the basic level of the Qur'an.
