Abstract
Work posture is a determining point in analyzing the effectiveness of a job. Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are pathological disorders that damage the soft tissues of the musculoskeletal system caused by repeated long-term activities with the wrong body position which results in pain in parts of the body such as the back, neck, shoulders, hips, knees and upper limbs. This study aims to determine the effect of work posture on musculoskeletal complaiments in tea pickers at PT Pagilaran Blado District Batang Regency. This type of research is observational with across sectional study approach. The population in this study amounted to 89 tea pickers, the sampling technique was carried out with a total sampling of 89 respondents. Assessment of work posture using the Nordic Body Map. Data analysis used statistical test, namely Correlation Test using the Pearson Product Moment Test and Simple Linier Regression Test. The results showed that there was a correlation between work posture and Musculoskeletal Disoders (MSDs) in tea pickers (p value=0,000) and the results of the simple linier regression test a significance value of 0,000 (<0,05). Based on this problem, it is necessary to carry out administrative control effort, one which is stretching during working hours.
