Abstract

The scientific approach is a learning method designed so that students can actively construct concepts, laws or principles through several steps. This research is intended to explain the scientific approach contained in the lesson plans for mathematics in class V in Blora District. The research approach used is a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was obtained using interview techniques and analyzing the Class V Mathematics Learning Implementation Plan. The validity of the data in this study used a triangulation technique. The results of the study show that the teacher has practiced the 5 aspects contained in the Scientific Approach, including the activity of observing the learning material in books or videos and then encouraging students to ask questions about what has been observed as part of the questioning activity. Furthermore, students can collect data by recording things that have been observed and answers to questions that have been asked. The reasoning activities occur when students try to solve problems with the new knowledge that has been obtained by discussing. Finally, in communicating activities students can present the results of new knowledge in groups or independently both orally and in writing.
