Abstract

The Rawa Pening tourism area in general has the potential for pristine natural beauty, the potential is in the form of views of water and hills. The management of the Rawa Pening tourist attraction in the Tuntang area is still not optimal, and the existing facilities and infrastructure are not adequate both in quality and quantity, which are still simple existing facilities. The objectives of this research are; 1) Knowing the internal and external potential of the Rawa Pening tourism object. 2) Knowing the problems that become obstacles in the development of tourism in the Rawa Pening area. 3) Knowing the direction of tourism development in the Rawa Pening area. The method used in this study is the survey method, to provide a clear picture of the level of potential possessed by the tourist area in this study the data processing process carried out was potential analysis using questionnaires and scoring analysis. First, identify the internal potential, namely the quality of the tourist attraction, the condition of the tourist attraction and support for the development of the object, then identify the external potential, namely accessibility, supporting facilities for visitors and complementary facilities. Second, based on the results of the questionnaire obtained, a scoring analysis was carried out by dividing the classification of potential levels into three, namely high potential, medium potential and low potential. Third, based on the level of potential obtained, a SWOT analysis is carried out. The results of the study indicate that there are 3 tourist attractions that have high internal and external potential, namely the Eiffel Tower replica tourist attraction, the water duck tour, and the floating restaurant. While the boat tourist attraction belongs to the low class.
