Abstract

The delivery of materials for people with intellectual disabilities continues to face challenges since they are often bored and find it difficult to concentrate, making learning less effective. This occurred at the Intellectual Disability Social Service Institution of “Raharjo” Sragen, which is still providing material in conventional and less exciting methods. Learning through educational game media is one example of how current technology breakthroughs might be applied in the field of social rehabilitation. The purpose of this study is to develop educational games for individuals with intellectual disabilities that will modernize the method of giving material from social workers. In this study, the researcher creates educational games using the GDLC (Game Development Life Cycle) approach and software construct 2. According to the results of the tests performed using the Blackbox method, there is a command function on the output that corresponds to the command on the input, as well as an average value of 86.75 from the System Usability Scale method, indicating that it can be concluded that the creation of this daily activity educational game is in accordance with the needs of people with intellectual disabilities and social workers at the Intellectual Disability Social Service Institution of “Raharjo” Sragen.
