Abstract
Covid-19 is a new type of pneumonia virus, which spreads quickly and attacks all countries, until finally on April 5, 2020 WHO confirmed that there were 210 countries and regions affected, and declared this virus outbreak a global pandemic. In this case several world governments including Indonesia are taking preventive steps through health protocols that must be followed. These health protocols include wearing masks, washing hands regularly, and maintaining social distance. This aims to reduce the transmission rate of Covid-19. This study aims to examine adherence to health protocols among students in Indonesia in terms of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) model. This research was conducted on 242 students in Indonesia. The measurement tools used are the Attitude Scale, the Subjective Norm Scale, the Perceived Behavioral Control Scale, the Behavioral Intention Scale, the Rule Compliance Scale. The data obtained were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the JASP 14.00 program. The SEM test results showed that all goodness of fit parameters were met (IFI: 0.996; TLI: 0.996; CFI: 0.996; GFI: 0.966; RMSEA: 0.019). Thus it can be concluded that the TPB model can be used to describe compliance in carrying out the Covid-19 prevention health protocol for students in Indonesia, that compliance is strongly influenced by behavioral intentions, and behavioral intentions are influenced by attitudes, subjective norms, and perceptions of behavioral control possessed by students in Indonesia. Keywords: covid-19, compliance, theory of planned behavior.
