Abstract

The incidence stunting in toddlers is still a national health problem. Based on the results of the Basic Health Data Research, the prevalence of stunting in 2013 reached 37.2% and decreased in 2018 to 30.8%. The percentage of this figure is still far above the WHO target of <20%. One of the factors that cause stunting in toddlers is exclusive breastfeeding. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between of exclusive breastfeeding with incident of stunting in toddlers aged 24-59 months. The research method used is a literature review by reviewing 10 articles from the Google Schoolar indexed by SINTA (S1-S4) in the last 10 years (2012-2021). Inclusion criteria: full textresearch designs cross sectional and case control, subjects under five aged 24-59 months. Exclusion Criteria: paid articles and literature review results. The results a review of 10 selected articles, 8 articles showed a significant correlation between of exclusive breastfeeding with incident of stunting in toddlers aged 24-59 months (p<0.05), while the other 2 articles showed no significant correlation between of exclusive breastfeeding with incident of stunting in toddlers aged 24-59 months (p>0.05). Exclusive breastfeeding can directly affect the incidence of in to reduce the high incidence of stunting a program is needed in the form of education and promotion of exclusive breastfeeding to mothers.
