Abstract

This research seeks to apply the Six-Sigma and Statistical Process Control methods to a broiler farm called Elenia Farm to reduce the defects that occur. The purpose of this study is to determine the process capability based on sigma level and SPC analysis, the causes of defects, and to provide suggestions for improvement. Based on the sigma level analysis, it is known that Elenia Farm's process capability is below the industry average in Indonesia with a sigma level of 2.27. Based on SPC analysis, it is known that Elenia Farm's capability process is not capable and uncontrolled with a Cp value of 0.61. Based on FMEA, it is known that the causes of defects are inaccurate temperature sensors and too many chickens with an RPN of 560. The proposed improvement to reduce defects is to recalibrate the temperature sensor and reduce the total production capacity.
