Abstract

Cengklik Reservoir is one of the tourist attractions in Boyolali Regency that exploit the potential of natural beauty as a tourist attraction. Cengklik Reservoir is located in Ngargorejo Village, Ngemplak District, Boyolali Regency and is close to Adi Sumarmo Airport. Cengklik Reservoir was built during the reign of the Dutch East Indies around 1923-1931 with an area of ± 240 hectares. However, the current condition in Cengklik Reservoir is quite alarming as a tourist spot. This is caused by the lack of existing tourist attractions, the lack of adequate tourist facilities and infrastructure, the lack of maintenance of the available facilities, and the residents who use the reservoir area as agricultural land due to high sedimentation. This has an impact on decreasing tourist visits to the Cengklik Reservoir. The Cengklik Waterpark is expected to be a solution in overcoming the problems that occur in the Cengklik Reservoir. Cengklik Waterpark was built with location, structure and utility in mind. Not only designed as a tourist spot, but also as a driver of improving the quality of life and the economy of the local community.
