Abstract

The study aims to analyze the effect of the unemployment rate on economy growth, the human development index on poverty rate in regency/city of North Sulawesi in 2017-2021. The data used in this study is secondary data sourced from badan pusat statistik. Analysis using panel data. Based on the results of chow test and hausman test, the selected model is Random Effect Model (REM). The f test results prove that the random effect model approach exists. The results of t test show that the variabels of open unemployment, economic growth and human development indeks have a significant effect on the povery level in regency/city of North Sulawesi. The coefficient of determination is 51,42% which means that the variation of the poverty rate variable can be explained by the open unemployment, economic growth and human development index variabels. The remaining 45,58% is explained by independent variabels that are not included in the model.
