Abstract

Giriwoyo District is one of the areas included in the National Strategic Project (PSN) in realizing the Development of National Water and Food Security in 2015, by building a new dam in Giriwoyo District, precisely in Pidekso Village. The impact of the construction of the project resulted in a reduction in land in the villages affected by the dam construction. The purpose of this study is: to determine changes in land use change in Giriwoyo District from 2011 - 2020 to analyze the factors that influence land changes in Giriwoyo District. The method used in this research is a comparative method (comparison) and direct survey. The results of this study based on the results of overlays and field surveys indicate that there has been a change in land use, especially those dominated by the use of paddy fields and settlements which are spread in almost all villages in Giriwoyo District, and there are 1357 plots of land or around 238.44 ha of partially affected land. A large area is a rainfed rice field in Pidekso Village, making the village the most significant change with the construction of the dam. Changes in land use change in Griwoyo District are also related to population dynamics in Giriwoyo District where the population in the sub-district shows a reduction of up to 13,985 people in a period of 10 years.
