Abstract

VPN is an application that is used to provide private connection services for internet users safely and freely, because by using a VPN application, the network that is on the cellphone will automatically private its own network, and provide more experiments making it easier for VPN application users while surfing. in the internet world. This study aims to find out how the legal protection for child consumers using mobile phones when connected to a VPN application. This study uses a normative legal approach or can also be called a doctrinal approach. Using this type of descriptive research. The results show that some porn and gambling sites with access to VPN applications are not in accordance with Article 48 paragraph (4) of Law Number 32 of 2002 concerning Broadcasting, Article 4 paragraph (1) letter f of the Pornography Law, Article 1 paragraph (1) and Article 3 letter c UUPK, as well as article 27 paragraphs (1) and (2) UU ITE. The theft of personal data is not in accordance with Article 30 paragraph (2) of the ITE Law. The tapping of banking data is not in accordance with Article 30 paragraph (3) of the ITE Law. The fraud case is not in accordance with Article 31 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law. The use of a VPN that results in the free and unlimited access to pornography is not in accordance with Islamic Law.
