Abstract
Garbage is an unused, unused, unwelcome, or discarded item that is originally from human activity and is not natural. Increasing population numbers, changes in consumption patterns and the addition of human activities give rise to the volume, type and characteristics of garbage that are increasingly of its kind. Waste can affect health and the environment. Know the relationship of waste management with the density of fly vectors in the market. This research takes the form of a literature review, research method by summarizing various research journals to prove the factors that affect hygiene and sanitation in the market. The journal to be studied comes from Pubmed and Proquest with keywords ((fly vector) OR (market) OR (garbage) OR (market garbage) AND (flies)). the quality of national and international journals indexed Sinta S1-S6 or IsSN (International Standard Serial Number), as well as the year of publication of the journal 2016-2021. The results of the literature review showed that Of the 5 journals that have been researched, it was found that 5 journals state that environmental sanitation has an influence on the density of flies in traditional markets. Judging from the market environmental sanitation that is not good, including waste management and sewage channels, clean water, bathrooms and toilets, hand washing facilities, market disinfection. Each article has differences in the population and sample studied which also affect the number of fly densities in the market.
