Abstract

This research is motivated because there are so many thugs who often commit crimes in the community, this also causes anxiety and fear in the community. Many people stay away from these thugs and think they are the trash of society, if this is allowed to continue, new thugs will appear. Therefore, it is time for us as Muslims to have a responsibility for the da'wah that must be conveyed to those thugs who are not getting enough attention to the da'wah of Islam. The purpose of this study was to determine the method of moral development of former thugs carried out by the ONB (Omah Ngaji Berbagi) da'wah community. The type of research that will be conducted is field research. The approach that will be used in this research is a qualitative phenomenological approach through case study research. In obtaining valid data to support research needs, researchers used the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation in the data collection process. Data analysis techniques that will be used in this study apply data reduction techniques, data presentation and conclusion drawing and data verification. Then, to ensure the validity of the data and the retrieval, the technique triangulation and source triangulation are used. This research concludes that the method of moral development of former thugs through the ONB (Omah Ngaji Berbagi) da'wah community, there are 4 methods of moral development, namely, the Interview method, the Group guidance method, the Exemplary method and the Habituation method. The findings of the constraint and solution factors in the method of moral development of ex-thugs through the ONB (Omah Ngaji Berbagi) da'wah community are based on two factors, namely factors originating from within the community (internal) and outside the community (external).
