Abstract
The area of forest vegetation in Indonesia for a period of < 40 years has decreased from 74% to 54% due to the increasingly high rate of deforestation and globalization. Semarang Regency has a fairly large forest area, which is at risk of being damaged, especially in tourist areas, one of which is Sepakung Village. Therefore, it is necessary to know the condition of the vegetation using remote sensing with Sentinel-2A imagery. With the NDVI transformation method and supervised classification of maximum likelihood with the GEE platform with analysis of interpretation using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the NDVI value in 2019 range from 0.3314 - 0.8694 and in 2021 it ranges from 0.3447 - 0.8668 with healthy and very healthy vegetation conditions. The class of very heavy damage spreads throughout the protected forest area with a very small area in 2019 covering an area of 3,238142 Ha and in 2021 an area of 3,639156 Ha. Changes in the dominant vegetation damage occurred in the use of open land into healthy conditions, namely forest plantations or shrubs. Factors that influence the change in damage are from natural factors and human factors.
