Abstract

The philanthropy-based Muhammadiyah movement that has been built by KH. Ahmad Dahlan as a form of practicing the Qur'an which is known as the Al-Maun theology-based movement. Then from there was born the Amil Zakat Infaq and Shadaqah Muhammadiyah (Lazismu) Institute which has now been able to bring a breakthrough in the philanthropic movement. The Lazismu movement is divided into six pillars, one of which is the pillar of education. Through the education pillar, Lazismu has made a real contribution to building education in the country. One of them is overcoming the case of dropping out of school, one of which is economic limitations. Lazismu presents Mentari scholarships for elementary-high school and Sangsurya scholarships for universities. Especially at Lazismu Sragen, the Sangsurya scholarship does not just give. One of the conditions for receiving the Sangsurya scholarship is to be ready to become a preacher and return to Sragen. The aim is to produce cadres of Muhammadiyah dai in Sragen and so that students can benefit the surrounding community. This study aims to determine the management and barriers to cadre of Muhammadiyah through the Sangsurya scholarship at Lazismu Sragen in 2020. By using a qualitative approach based on phenomenological analysis, namely an approach in qualitative research that emphasizes a person's interpretation of an individual's experience of a phenomenon. The result of this research is that the regeneration management carried out by Lazismu Sragen is in accordance with the management principles by George R. Terry including 1) planning the scholarship program 2) the concept of organizing scholarships 3) implementing cadre regeneration and 4) controlling the scholarship program.
