Abstract

Based on the results of soil research in Tanggulangin Village, Jatisrono, Wonogiri, it has a PI value of 26.86% including clay with low plasticity, so soil improvement is needed by stabilizing it using lime. The percentage of addition of lime to clay is 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10%. The tests carried out include physical properties and mechanical properties on native soils and mixed soils. The results of the physical properties test, the value of water content, specific gravity, liquid limit, plasticity index, and the percentage passing the N0.200 sieve decreased with the addition of lime percentage, while the plastic limit and shrinkage limit values increased. Based on the AASHTO classification (clay soils with a general rating as a subgrade from moderate to poor), native and mixed soils are classified as group A-7-6 while according to the USCS classification, native and mixed soils include CL (inorganic clay soils with low to low plasticity). currently). In testing the mechanical properties of Standard Proctor, the dry volume weight value increased and the wopt value decreased with the addition of lime mixture. The results of the consolidation test showed that the Cv value increased while the Cc and Sc values decreased with the addition of lime mixture. The smallest Cv value is found in the original soil at 0.000842 cm2/sec while the largest Cv value in 10% lime mixed soil is 0.001074 cm2/sec. The largest Cc and Sc values occurred in the original soil at 0.145626 and 0.026256 cm. Meanwhile, the smallest values of Cc and Sc occurred in 10% lime mixed soil of 0.089981 and 0.017912 cm.
