Abstract
UD. Putra Manunggal Jati is an SME engaged in furniture production. The research objective is to analyze and identify employee work postures using the OWAS method and provide suggestions for improvements to the work process that has the most risky work posture based on the OWAS assessment. The methods used are Nordic Body Map (NBM) and Ovako Work Posture Analysis System (OWAS). The results of calculations carried out using the OWAS method there are 4 work stations that need to be repaired. In the wood measurement process, the result value is 3, which needs to be repaired as quickly as possible, in the wood pressing process, the OWAS 2 value is that it needs to be repaired, the wood hole making process gets a value of 3, which needs to be repaired as soon as possible, in the product assembly process, the result is a value. 3, which needs to be repaired as soon as possible. The proposed improvement is to improve posture in order to get an OWAS score of 1 and add a work desk to make work easier and add chairs to work stations that require appropriate anthropometry to be used.
