Abstract

Birds are one of the animals that are often kept in Indonesia. The hobby of keeping birds in Indonesia has various reasons, starting from the uniqueness, the beauty of the feathers and also the beauty of the sound that really spoils the owner. To keep birds in cages in an integrated manner, there are several things that must be considered, namely feeding, drinking and also bathing the bird. Often bird owners forget or are late in these three things. This study describes the system of feeding, drinking and spraying which are all done automatically, later the system will overcome the problems above. This system can provide feed and drink automatically by using two sensors, namely infrared sensors and water level sensors. These two sensors are placed on the upper and lower limits of the feed or drink container, then passed to the Arduino as a controller. So that when the feed or drinking water touches the lower limit, the mini pump and servo motor will automatically turn on and vice versa. This system can also do automatic spraying, this system works by spraying water on birds once a day with a schedule that has been set in the Arduino script. The method in this research is an experiment where the author tries to make a tool with a function that can run according to plan and analyze the performance of the tool that has been made. The purpose of making the tool is to make it easier to keep birds in caring for their favorite birds and to know the performance of the tools that have been made. The results of this study are device performance data which uses parameters from the IR sensor, water level and RTC module. The performance of the resulting tool is as expected where the sensor parameters can be processed into actuator references in the form of pumps and servos to fill feed and drinking water as well as bird cage sprayers. The implementation of this research can be used as a reference in the development of bird rearing tools in cages for further research.
