Abstract
Bruxism is a bad habit that causes various impacts on the oral cavity. Oral problems cause a variety of oral changes that affect all aspects of physical and psychological life. WHO's definition of health as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely health as disease. Assessment of quality of life related to oral health (OHRQoL) or quality of life related to oral health is very important in discovering individual perceptions of health regarding the health of everyday life, as well as the impact on well-being and quality. This study aims to determine the effect of bad habits of bruxism on the quality of life related to dental and oral health in adulthood.The literature review uses secondary data obtained from previous research. The process of searching this article using PCC. The research population is adult bruxism, the concept used is the quality of life related to oral health on the impact of bruxism, the context is an observational study (cross-sectional, cohort, and case-control studies). The stages of the literature review are explained by the PRISMA flow chart.The results of the assessment in the article show that the quality of life related to teeth and mouth is worse in patients with bruxism with the examination of (1) temporomandibular joint disorders, (2) masticatory muscle pain, and (3) dental attrition and (4) headaches associated with bruxism sufferers. . In conclusion, patients with bad habits of bruxism showed a worse quality of life related to teeth and mouth (OHRQoL) with various effects of bruxism.
