Abstract
Halal tourism prioritizes fulfilling the basic needs of Muslims in tourist destinations such as worship, purification, and travel in accordance with the provisions of sharia law. Indonesia is a country with tourism potential as a leading sector, achieving the best halal tourism destionation according to the Global Muslim Travel Index 2019. In supporting the development of the tourism sector is to develop a tourist village. One of the tourist destinations that has great potential is Pengging village in Boyolali, Central Java. One of the most famous place there is Tirto Marto Spring, a legacy of the Kasunanan Palace of Surakarta. This study aims to identify the tourism potential of Umbul Tirto Marto to be developed into halal tourism that has met the GMTI standard which includes the dimensions of Acces, Services, Communication, and Environtment. The method used is the SWOT method to find out what are the Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat in developing tourism potential in Tirto Marto Spring so we can provide suggestion for its improvement in the development as a halal tourism village.
