Abstract

Currently, it is necessary to use learning media that are dynamic and able to explain concept material and apply it to facts. Many learning media have utilized Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to support online learning, such as Gather Town, (platform) and others. These problems occur due to the application of monotonous learning media, the tendency of students who have not been maximized in the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This study aims to obtain information about the effectiveness of learning media in the online learning process with the Gather Town media during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study using an ethnographic design is included in a qualitative approach because it aims to describe an object studied in the study, be it social class, status of a group and so on. The results of this study are Garther Town media is considered more effective and efficient in attracting students' interest in learning. Student motivation in increasing focus in online meetings has also increased. However, there are still obstacles for students, the obstacles they face tend to lead to class operations and economic financing. With future solutions, it is necessary to increase media literacy, improve classroom management capabilities, and readiness in financing to support student learning.
