Abstract
Madiun City is one of the cities that supports the development of UMKM (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) in addition to the cities of Surabaya and Malang. The Government of Madiun City has built UMKM stalls in every kelurahan with the aim of improving the welfare of the community and making each kelurahan into an independent kelurahan, therefore public perception and participation is needed to find out the community's response to the development of this UMKM stall. The objectives of this study are (1) to analyze the perception of traders on the development of UMKM stalls in Madiun City, (2) to determine the level of community participation in preserving and utilizing UMKM stalls in Madiun City, and (3) to determine the distribution pattern of UMKM stall development in Madiun City. The population of the research object is the community around the UMKM stalls with a total of 27 stalls using the probability sampling method with random sampling technique by taking samples in 27 villages with 10 respondents in each village. Data was collected by using questionnaires, interviews, and collecting coordinates using GPS. The analysis method uses descriptive quantitative methods by using tabulated and verified data. The results obtained are a table of the results of the classification of traders' perceptions carried out in 27 urban villages. The results of this study indicate that the impact indicator has a value of 4.21, which is in the good category. The results of the development location indicator with a value of 3.99 are in the good category and the indicator of the presence of local products has a value of 4.00 which means good. The results of community participation show that the less participating sub-districts are Kartoharjo Village with a score of 34.36%, Josenan Village with a value of 37.95% and Sogaten Village with a value of 33.85%. The most participating village is Oro-Oro Ombo Village with a score of 81.03%. The distribution pattern of UMKM stalls is evenly distributed with the nearest Neighbor Ratio value of 1,357.
