Abstract

The Trevel Motor is an attachment that functions as a steering and brake system to direct the unit to move forward, backward, turn right and turn left. This movement is divided into two movements, namely forward movement and backward movement which is moved by the valves in the control valves. The hydraulic energy from the pump will be converted into mechanical energy through the trevel motor. The trevel motor rotates the sprocket which then moves the track shoe to produce movement on the excavator. This analysis aims to determine the damage, the cause of the damage and the corrective steps of the trevel motor motion system. The procedure for checking the trevel motor damage is by performing a performance test starting from the unit road test, visual checking and component diassaembly to find out which components are damage. The results of the check or analysis found damage to the solenoid valve and solenoid block located on the control valve, resulting in fluid not being able to flow. The cause of this damage is that the spool on the pilot valve is jammed or is no longer functioning and the cable on the solenoid block is disconnected. The corrective step is to replace the damaged component with a new one, for preventive measures to minimize greater damage by means of regular maintenance.
