Abstract

In 2020 the World Health Organization (WHO) defined a contagious corona virus disease. From the report, it can be seen that it still shows a significant increase. From the WHO's official website globally on May 19, 2020 there were 4,731,458 confirmed cases with 316,169 deaths. Through the website for the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19, data was obtained on May 19, 2020, there were 18,496 positive cases with 1,221 deaths (WHO, 2020). Sebelas Maret University Hospital was formed a COVID-19 Task Force team consisting of 45 nurses. Based on interviews with several nurses of the COVID-19 Task Force, they stated that they had feelings of anxiety while caring for patients for the reason of fear of contracting and fear of transmitting the virus to families living in the same house. The formulation of this research problem is "how is the Psychological Response of Nurses Providing Nursing Care to COVID-19 Patients at Sebelas Maret University Hospital?". The research method is the type of research used is descriptive quantitative and the research approach used is cross sectional, data management techniques are Editing (data editing), Coding (Coding), Data Entry (Entering Data), Cleaninge, Tabulating, so that data analysis is carried out with univariate analysis. The results of the study were that the majority of nurses who provided nursing care to COVID-19 patients did not experience depression, did not experience anxiety and did not experience stress. But there are still a few nurses who experience depression, anxiety or stress.
