Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the dominant parenting pattern in educating children during the covid 19 pandemic. This study was a descriptive quantitative study. Collecting data in this study using a questionnaire method of questionnaires and interviews. This research was conducted at Kindergarten Dharma Wanita Kanigoro 2 with a total sample of 30 students aged 4-6 years. Data analysis in this study used descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the questionnaire, parents who apply democratic parenting are 95%, permissive parenting is 66.67% and authoritarian parenting is 22.08%. The parenting pattern applied by parents in parenting during the COVID-19 pandemic is adjusted to the child's condition so that parents use more than one parenting pattern and the most dominant is democratic parenting.
