Abstract

Crawler excavator is one of the heavy equipment that is often used because it has high flexibility. Excavators use a hydraulic system as a driving force, where with a hydraulic system the excavator can move the attachments, move, and also swing. When the excavator moves, the swivel joint component affects the flow of the hydraulic system, apart from moving when the excavator swings, the swivel joint component also has a role. Therefore, this repair and maintenance aims to determine the cause of damage and maintenance of the swivel joint. By doing disassembly, assembly, and checking on the hydraulic oil. The results of the disassembly carried out show that the damage to the swivel joint lies in the seal inside it is broken so that the swivel joint has internal leakage and external leakage, so the corrective step is to replace a new seal.
