Abstract
Adequate sanitation is a human right. However, 25 billion people (or around 64% of the world's population) did not have access to better sanitation facilities at the end of 2011. Inadequate sanitation is a factor in the transmission of various diseases such as diarrhea, cholera, dysentery, hepatitis A, typhoid, polio. and stunted growth and causes of death in children under five. Currently, Indonesia is still facing the challenge of completing the 2015-2019 National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN) target which sets the target of achieving 100% universal access to drinking water, 0% slum settlements and 100% cessation of open defecation (SBS). Therefore, it is necessary to have a stimulus to the community that is sustainable in order to encourage people to change their behavior from those who practice open defecation to become people who are ODF. This prompted the proposer to carry out a Toilet Surgery Movement for the realization of the local government program, namely Stop Open Defecation (Stop Open defecation).
