Abstract
A work accident is one of the factors that can inhibit the production process. The purpose of this research is to analyze the level of work accident of PT PAL employees, especially the Commerce Ship Division and provide several solutions to be implemented in the Commerce Ship Division. This research uses explanatory research method by observing and using company historical data on the number of workers, the types of accidents that occur, the time of occurrence of work accidents, the frequency of work accidents, as well as the hours of missing people. Results of this study showed that in 2018, PT PAL experienced a loss of working hours as much as 41 hours 40 minutes and year 2017 lost the working hours as much as 58 hours 37 minutes. In 2018, the number of lost hours decreased as much as 16 hours 57 minutes. This data could be a reason to take further action to reduce the employment accident level by implementing a fine system, placing HSE officers in each building and Always provide extension toolbox meeting before starting work.
