Abstract

Overall Labor Effectiveness (OLE) is a key performance indicator that measures the utility, performance and quality of labor and its impact on productivity. Indicators for measuring OLE values are Availability, Performance, Quality. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of the employees of PT Dua Kelinci Tortila Division, find out the root causes and propose improvements. The method used in this study is to use OLE and five whays analysis to determine the root cause of the problem. Based on the results of the study obtained an OLE value of 61%, an Availability value of 68%, a Performance value of 91%, and a Quality value of 98%, with the cause of a low OLE value is the operator does not complete his work, there is no maintenance control, there is no generator in the division tortilla, operator error setting. Based on the root causes of the problem, suggestions for improvement are given, namely: conducting training to operators relating to machinery, implementing continuous improvement, conducting preventive maintenance, conducting generator sets.
