Abstract

The increase in TB cases in children shows that so far parents are considered less obedient in bringing their children for treatment at health facilities. This incident is closely related to the level of education of parents, when the level of education affects the level of knowledge possessed by parents. So the higher the education level of parents, the more obedient parents are to taking their children for treatment at health facilities. Based on this background, this study aims to determine the relationship between the level of parental education related to adherence in the treatment of TB in children at the Lung Hospital dr. Ario Wirawan Salatiga. This research is a descriptive type of correlation with a cross sectional design. This research was conducted at the Lung Hospital, dr. Ario Wirawan Salatiga, using sampling technique purpovise sampling with a total sample of 89 parents who have TB children, and checks or treats children at the Lung Hospital dr. Ario Wirawan Salatiga. The research instrument used a questionnaire, and the analytical tool used was Chi Square (X2). This study concluded that there is a relationship between the level of parental education with adherence in the treatment of TB in children at the Lung Hospital dr. Ario Wirawan Salatiga
