Abstract
Breast cancer is the most common cancer and the second deadliest in the world, deaths from breast cancer touch the percentage of 43.3% of the number of deaths. The threat of cancer is increasing along with changes in people's lifestyles, the increase in cancer in the world reaches 300% in 2030, and the majority occurs in developing countries including Indonesia. Testing the cytotoxic effect of ethanol extract of chicken claw (Selaginella plana Hieron) used the MTT method. First, T47D cells were grown on RPMI-1640 medium containing 5% v/v FCS (Fetal Calf Serum) (Sigma) and 1% fungizone (Sigma). In the linear regression equation, determine y50% and then look for x. The results of the antilog of concentration will get the IC50 value. The research that will be carried out can add scientific data regarding the cytotoxic effect of chicken claw plant extract (Selaginella plana Hieron) on T47D cancer cells so that the data obtained can be published to the public and used for co-chemotherapy agents that can increase the cytotoxic effect on T47D cells and reduce the side effects of doxorubicin
