Abstract

Ascariasis is a disease caused by Ascaris sp. The worms are classified as soil-transmitted helminths, namely intestinal worms that infect humans, their transmission requires soil. The type of research used is a laboratory experimental study with a posttest only with controlled group design. Each treatment group was observed every 2 hours to determine the motility and mortality of Ascaris suum worms. determine the anthelmintic effect of turmeric (Curcuma domestica Val.) rhizome against Ascaris suum worms. This study is expected to provide scientific information regarding the effect of turmeric rhizome extract (Curcuma domestica Val.) on the death of Ascaris suum worms. The results of this study can be considered for further anthelmintic research.
