Abstract
Cholesterol is a substance that is naturally produced by the liver but can also be found in foods of animal origin such as meat and milk. Cholesterol is needed by the body to form healthy cells, produce a number of hormones and produce vitamin D. Measurement of cholesterol levels using a cholesterol checker in the blood and testing samples in a health clinic laboratory. The selectivity of the membrane is expressed in the Coefficient of Rejection. Providing information to the public about the potential for corn cobs. Produce organic membranes from corncob cellulose. Produce membrane products that have potential. It is hoped that it can increase the utilization of corncob waste as one of the raw materials for making organic membranes. It is expected to develop an organic membrane from corncob cellulose which is applicable for the isolation of cholesterol in the blood. It is hoped that organic membranes from corncob cellulose can be an alternative in controlling cholesterol levels in the blood.
