Abstract

In the field of education, technology can be used to help the teaching and learning process to be more interesting and fun, for example using animated learning media accompanied by HOTS-based quiz questions to train students to think critically. This study aims to develop HOTS-based learning media using animation for the introduction of basic computers in class VII students and to test the feasibility of the learning media. This research uses the R&D (Research and Development) method. After testing this learning media, the researcher obtained responses from the first users, namely media experts with an average coefficient of V 0.90 and interpretation test results above 83%, so it can be concluded that all items are very feasible. The second is a material expert with an average V coefficient of 0.92 and interpretation test results above 83%, so it can be concluded that all items are very feasible. Then the average result of the student questionnaire is worth 93.08 with an acceptable category which is one of the SUS criteria. Furthermore, the results of the interpretation test conducted on 30 respondents got a score of 67.46% which was included in the "Agree" or "Decent" category. Based on the results of the tests that have been carried out, this media is in the category of agree or can be used.
