Abstract
The purpose of this research is to identify and describe: 1) The description of Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan Materials, 2) The explanation of the efforts of IPM Karanganyar in strengthening the ideology of cadres and the activities that have been carried out. The type of this research is qualitative research. The data collection method in this research is by using interviews, observation, and documentation. The technique of analyzing data applies descriptive analysis with conclusions by using a deductive method that departs from general parts and then is reduced to specific parts. Muhammadiyah student associations or well-known as Ikatan Pelajar Muhammadiyah (IPM) are organizations that have their own rules or are autonomous, organizations that are engaged in spreading Amar maruf nahi munkar based on the Qur'an and as-Sunnah mong students in Muhammadiyah educational institutions especially and generally all students in existing educational institutions. Muhammadiyah Student Association has a tiered model of cadre education called Taruna Melati (TM), from the basic level of Taruna Melati 1 to Taruna Melati Utama, a highest cadre education level. In its implementation, IPM has a guide or curriculum material at each level, there is one material that must exist at each level, namely Muhammadiyah knowledge or Kemuhammadiyahan. It contains Islamic material (Al-Qur'an and al-Hadith, Worship, Akhlaq and Tasawuf) and Kemuhammadiyahan (Muqadimah Articles of Association of Muhammadiyah, Matters of Faith and Life Aspirations of Muhammadiyah or called Matan Keyakinan dan Cita-cita Hidup Muhammadiyah (MKCHM), Interpretation of 12 Steps of Muhammadiyah. The Muhammadiyah student associations cadre education system is helpful in terms of strengthening the ideology of cadres. The material presented in the TM 2 activity becomes a bridge to form progressive cadres so that they can follow the direction of Muhammadiyah's movement in realizing progressive Islam.
