Abstract
The process of disclosing personal information to others can be defined as self-disclosure. In friendships with heterosexual friends, lesbians face a dilemma between hiding or revealing their sexual orientation. This study aims to describe the strategy of self-disclosure of Lesbians to Heterosexuals in friendship relationships in Surakarta. The study results are presented in a qualitative form with three subjects lesbian in Surakarta, with a theoretical framework using CPM/ Communication Privacy Management. Interview transcripts were analyzed qualitatively using Milles & Huberman flow model analysis, data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification and conclusion drawing. The results showed that lesbian expression in self-disclosure uses three strategies: self-introduction, self-disclosure, and delivery of future life expectancy. The conclusions that can be drawn from the research discussion are Self-introduction strategy using selective, reciprocal and trusting tips. Self-disclosure strategies using responsive and receptive tips, and Strategies for conveying hope for the future of life using tips Without hesitation; Ready for all risks.
