Abstract

This study aims to describe the inculcation of the character of responsibility and discipline, obstacles, and solutions to overcome the obstacles of inculcating the character of responsibility and discipline in learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education based on the family environment and class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Slogohimo. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. Collecting data using interview, observation, and documentation methods. The data analysis technique uses an interactive analysis model with the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Test the validity of the data using the data source. The results of this study indicate that the process of inculcating the character of responsibility and discipline by doing and completing assignments on time, actively participating in learning, having learning readiness before learning, completing assignments on time, learning discipline at home, and action discipline. The obstacles to inculcating the character of responsibility and discipline experienced by students are the lack of broad understanding of the material provided, constrained by the difficulty of learning networks, lack of motivation that children get, and lack of time for parents to guide children during the learning process. The solution to overcome the problem of inculcating the character of responsibility and discipline when children are constrained by the network is that the school provides facilities such as wifi that can be used by children to take part in online learning, provide advice and motivation to children, provide punishment for those who are late in filling attendance attendance, and give rewards to children. Students who answer this question are evidence of student activity.
