Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of corporate governance structure and leverage on the firm value in manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017-2020. This type of research is quantitative with a research sample of 34 companies taken using purposive sampling method. Data collection techniques are carried out through the Indonesia Stock Exchange website and related company websites. Based on the results of data processing with the SPSS version 21 application, the results show that the corporate governance structure variable consisting of management ownership, institutional ownership, independent commissioners, and audit committees has a negative and significant effect on firm value. Meanwhile the leverage variable has a positive and significant effect on firm value.
