Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the relationship between adversity quotient and social support on achievement motivation of students who are completing their thesis at the Faculty of Psychology UMS. The population of this research is students who are completing their thesis as many as 381 students. This study uses a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of students taking a thesis at the Faculty of Psychology and aged 21-25 years. This study uses quantitative methods with data collection using google form. The measuring instrument used is the adversity quotient scale, social support scale, and achievement motivation scale. Analysis of the data used is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS. The results of the analysis showed that the correlation value (r) = 0.807 and the value of sig. (1 tailed) = 0.000 (p <0.01). Which means that there is a positive and very significant relationship between adversity quotient and social support on achievement motivation. The results of this study also show that the achievement motivation of students is 45.49% in the high category, the adversity quotient level is 51.76% and is in the high category, while the social support is 50% and is in the high category. So that the higher the adversity quotient and good social support will increase achievement motivation in students who are completing their thesis.
