Abstract

The tourism industry in Grobogan Regency is still minimal and has not been able to make a significant contribution to the development of the Indonesian tourism industry. Whereas Grobogan Regency has great potential to manage regional resources in the tourism sector. One of the potentials that can be developed in the Grobogan area is Jono Tourism Village. Its location which is far from the beach but can produce salt products is a distinctive feature of Jono Village. Jono Village has been designated as a Tourism Village by the Ministry of Tourism at the end of 2016. Since its designation as a tourist village, this village has not experienced much development. This is because other potentials to be used as tourist attractions have not been explored, the lack of availability of amenities in this village, and inadequate accessibility. Therefore, the author is interested in developing this tourist village into a community-based tourist village with the salt industry center being the main attraction. The design concept that will be applied uses the Extending Tradition approach. The purpose of developing this Tourism Village is to solve the problems that occur in this village such as reducing the unemployment rate, improving the economy of the village community, preserving the local cultural environment, and providing infrastructure that supports the development of tourist villages. The method used in the design of this tourist village development includes data collection by means of observation, interviews, and literature. Then analysis and synthesis of macro, meso, and micro scopes. The products produced from this Tourism Village Development include a tourist village master plan, RTBL, and designs on selected sites, namely tourism village supporting facilities in the form of a tourism center.
