Abstract

Cockroaches can carry E.coli bacteria to food and beverages. There is no research that discusses the heating of E.coli bacteria in food and drinks contaminated with cockroaches. This study aims to determine the difference in the number of E.coli bacteria after heating food and beverages. the type of research is an experimental method with a pretest-posttest only control design, the samples of this research are whole milk, vegetable soup and banana compote with simple random sampling. In this study, each treatment was repeated four times. Statistical tests were carried out with the Wilcoxon test. the results of this study there are differences in the number of E.coli bacteria in food and beverages turned on after heating at a temperature of 72℃ and 100℃ . With this research it can be said that heating can kill E.coli in food and beverages
