Abstract
This study analyzes the cultivation of religious cultural values to increase the spiritual intelligence of students at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta in the 2021/2022 academic year. Islamic education consists of two elements, physical and spiritual. Physical is related to Islamic activities that use physical as the basis for their implementation, while spiritual is related to obligations, namely religious cultural values that show the personality of a person, thus giving rise to attitudes that have moral values and good character. The cultivation of religious cultural values is the basis for the formation of the human personality to create a generation that unites Allah SWT, has faith and fear of Allah SWT and behaves Islamically. The aims of this study are: 1) To describe the inculcation of religious cultural values in SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta to increase students' spiritual intelligence. 2) Describe the inhibiting and supporting factors in inculcating religious cultural values in SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta to increase students' spiritual intelligence. This research is (field research). This study used qualitative research methods. Sources of data in this study were interviews with school principals, vice principals of Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan public relations, vice principals of student affairs, and students at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study can be concluded that 1). The cultivation of religious cultural values can increase the spiritual intelligence of the students of SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta. The cultivation of religious culture is in the form of reading the Qur'an together before starting learning activities, sunnah dhuha prayers, dzuhur and asr prayers in congregation, seven-minute lectures (kultum) short lectures and activities in the month of Ramadan, namely distributing takjil iftar and joint studies. With these activities, it greatly influences the understanding of students' religious values. 2). This is influenced by other supporting factors, namely support from school performance in supporting the cultivation of religious culture to increase spiritual intelligence. And there is good interaction between teachers and students. And also support from infrastructure. However, there are inhibiting factors, namely from the students themselves with various characters and teachings from their parents since childhood. So the solution is to use special handling methods for students with problems. Keywords: Religious Culture, Spiritual Intelligence.
